About
Originally from Philadelphia (go birds!!), Sara spent her formative years traveling and living in cities all over the world. She graduated from American University with a BA in Theatre Performance and English Literature: Transcultural Studies. Currently she resides in New York City.
A global citizen, lifelong reader, and avid language learner, Sara understands that words have the power to shape our reality. She uses creative expression as a way to interrogate the world around her. Her poetry has been published over eleven times, both in-print and online. As a playwright, Sara has had work featured in multiple festivals in Washington, DC. She is most known for her play PLEASE BABY, PLEASE, a modern retelling of the Greek myth Phaedra. In 2021, Sara co-wrote & composed TOO MUCH UNHAPPY, a modern musical Chekhov adaptation with playwright/director Aaron Posner.
Sara had her professional acting debut at fourteen years old in the Bucks County Playhouse’s production of The Sound Of Music. Since then, she has performed with Prague Shakespeare Company in the Czech Republic, Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, and the British American Dramatic Academy in London where she earned a certificate in Classical Acting.
Sara is absolutely obsessed with Shakespeare, Greek mythology, fashion (especially any kind of platform shoe), horror films, watching hour-long video essays on niche historical subjects, Studio Ghibli, curating Spotify playlists for every single mood, and the cinematic masterpiece that is Barbie: Swan Lake. In her free time, you can find her going down internet rabbit holes on any of these subjects, dancing at the club, or planning her next international adventure.
