Hi! I’m Sara!

Originally from Philadelphia, I am a senior at the American University in Washington, DC getting my BA in Theatre Performance and Transcultural Literature.

I am extremely passionate about language and the power that words have to change us, which is why I love storytelling in all its forms. I am particularly interested in art that challenges society’s norms and provides a voice to communities that have been historically silenced and oppressed.

One of my biggest passions is Shakespeare! I absolutely love his texts and it is a life goal of mine to get to perform in every play in his canon. This summer, I was one of six acting apprentices chosen to work at the Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, where I was featured in King Lear and Two Gentlemen Of Verona. In 2022, I spent my summer at the Prague Shakespeare Company in the Czech Republic and was in productions of King Lear and Lisa Wolpe’s gender-flipped cowboy musical adaptation of The Taming Of The Shrew.

In addition to acting, I spend most of my free time writing music, poetry, and reading. My debut single, “ballerina” came out in November and is available for streaming and purchase on all streaming platforms. My published poetry appears in the anthology Not Ghosts, But Spirits (Vol II) and in Querencia Winter 2023 Anthology published by Querencia Press. I also have work featured in orangepeel Magazine, AmLit American Literary Magazine, Empyrean (Solstice) Literary Magazine, and Feral Feline Literary Magazine.

I also have a BookTube channel dedicated to my love of books! Currently, I have over 3k subscribers and my most popular video has over 150k views!

Other passions and interests of mine include: Greek Mythology, fashion (especially any kind of platform shoes), Anime, Horror films, watching hour-long video essays on really niche historical subjects, Studio Ghibli, curating Spotify playlists for every single mood, and the cinematic masterpiece that is Barbie: Swan Lake.
